A Legacy of Safety
Committed to the highest possible safety standards.
Corporate Eagle is committed to the highest standards of professional flight operations, prioritizing safety above all else. Our safety program is built on internationally recognized best practices, adhering to standards set by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), and incorporating requirements from the International Civil Aviation Organization and the Michigan Aeronautics Code. This dedication has earned us best-in-class safety achievements, certifications, and honors, reflecting our unwavering commitment to operational safety.
IS-BAO Stage 3 Certified
The International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) is an industry code of best practices developed to promote professional operational practices and enhance safety in business aviation. Compliance is voluntary and can be self-administered, with recognition through an auditing process resulting in an IBAC certificate.
The program, centered on the ICAO's Safety Management System, fosters a performance-based, risk-averse culture. Audits every two years ensure compliance, with the IS-BAO Stage III credential being the highest certification, signifying fully integrated safety management and a sustained positive safety culture. Only 300 operators worldwide, and fewer than 10 in Michigan, hold this credential, highlighting our commitment to top-tier safety standards.
NBAA Corporate Business Flying Safety Award
For 60 years, the NBAA Flying Safety Award program has highlighted the exceptional safety records of business aircraft operators. These awards recognize companies for maintaining accident-free operations, showcasing the professionalism of their management, maintenance, pilot, and support teams. Corporate Eagle received the Corporate Business Flying Safety Award and the Aviation Maintenance Department Safety Award on December 31, 2019, for 37 years and over 141,000 consecutive flight hours of accident-free operations.
CAE Pilot Training
As an FAA Certified Air Carrier, each flight-crew member must be trained and tested annually. At Corporate Eagle, we take it a step further: all Corporate Eagle pilots are fully trained and type-rated captains. They attend stringent and comprehensive recurrent training and testing, in full-motion simulators every six months, as a two-person co-captain team, which is how they fly. Training is contracted with CAE — a global leader in simulation and training for civil aviation worldwide. With over 50 years of experience in civil and military aviation training in more than 45 locations, CAE trains more than 100,000 flight-crew members annually. This depth of knowledge and experience helps ensure that your Corporate Eagle flight crew is trained to the highest standards possible.
Check Airmen
Check Airmen ensure that flight crews adhere to company and FAA standards through regular evaluations. Not all operators can use company Check Airmen for FAA-required evaluations, as this privilege demands high standards. Corporate Eagle’s Check Airmen, who are also Assistant Chief Pilots, demonstrate their qualifications biannually to the FAA, ensuring they are skilled evaluators and safety resources. This system enhances safety oversight and standardization, allowing flexible scheduling for evaluations and reducing Member inconveniences. Corporate Eagle's commitment to strict adherence to safety policies and SOPs ensures top-tier operational safety in today’s complex flight environment.
Air Carrier Certification
Air Carrier certification ensures operators conduct commercial aircraft operations in compliance with all regulations and safety standards, effectively managing hazard-related risks. On November 21, 1990, Corporate Eagle was certified by the FAA, meeting the requirements of the Federal Aviation Act of 1958 to operate as an Air Carrier. Committed to industry-leading safety, Corporate Eagle continually evaluates and enhances safety processes, consistently trains its team, and upholds the highest operational standards.
